Logo History
Blue Tiger Drawing
Believe it or not, my Logo was based on a drawing! This was a marker illustration of a content tiger lying down appearing more like a house cat than a ferocious predator. I thought the position of the tiger was endearing, so I colored it with blue and purple instead of orange and black, to give the illustration a serene aura.
Sketch
While developing the design for my logo I was fixated on lines as a way to simplify the picture of the tiger while maintaining the look and expression of the tiger's facial features.
Digital Sketch
Once I had an idea of what I wanted the logo to look like, I used Illustrator to create the line art on the tiger.
Tiger Head
After some revisions, I decided to only depict the tiger's head as opposed to its entire body. I thought the body would’ve been too complex for a logo, and minimizing the head with the text beside it made the logo more simplistic.
Clean Up
The lines on the tiger's forehead looked choppy, and the face seemed grumpy. I refined the line art for the tiger to keep the content expression that was on the original illustration.
Final
The final design utilizes a circular motion for the font with simple shapes outside of the tiger to give my logo a badge aesthetic.
